edu/en-us/job/494218/assistant-athletic-director Job Summary The Assistant Athletic Director for Communications assists with the day-to-day operations of the athletic department as well as program/coach evaluation & supervision.
The Assistant Athletic Director oversees Athletics communication and provides development and management of the web page and publications for varsity sports, including writing, editing, and design, statistical compilation & execution, publicity, public & media relations, budget and press box management.
The Assistant Athletic Director also serves as host to league and national championships, including NCAA Division I Men's Ice Hockey Tournaments.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Communications or similar discipline 2-3 years of experience in athletic administration.
Relevant combinations of education, training and experience may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications Experience in sport oversight Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of NCAA, ECAC, and Liberty League rules.
Strong writing skills, computer experience, knowledge of web site maintenance, demonstrated abilities with in-game sport information and statistical software.
