Editor - The Malone Telegram, a 5,000 circulation family owned morning newspaper published six days a week, is seeking an Editor to oversee the operations of its newsroom.
The Telegram is a well-established community newspaper in the northern foothills of the Adirondacks in Franklin County, New York.
Editor is responsible for managing three news reporters, an editorial assistant, and a sports editor.
Editor will write news stories if necessary, craft informed editorials that guide the community on important local issues, oversee the creation of all print pages, frequent special sections, and the Telegram's metered website.
Experience with social media and online strategies is mandatory.
The Telegram operates in a competitive market with a strong emphasis on aggressively pursuing local news.
Digital photography skills and inCopy and inDesign experience a plus.
