Vehicle Description This 1966 BMW 2000 New Class Was sold new in Germany to a US Serviceman who brought it to the states when he returned home.
It was driven sparingly and stored indoors for many years until it was purchased by a BMWCCA member in 2012.
During current ownership by the second owner it was lovingly restored as needed to bring it to the condition you see here.
This BMW is being sold on consignment on behalf of the second owner.
The body is straight and rust-free with almost all of its original Florida light green paint intact and shining brightly.
Trim has been polished and re-chromed as needed.
Mechanically, the car has been fully rebuilt; including the engine, automatic transmission, brakes, steering, suspension, driveshaft rear differential, cooling system, and alternator.
The interior features newly upholstered seats with rebuilt foam, while the rest of the interior remains original and very presentable.
An original equipment tachometer was added to the dash.
Aftermarket gauges were added to the center console to monitor the engine vitals after the rebuild.
This rare example was recently featured in BMW Icon Magazine and was requested for the photo shoot by BMW headquarters for the 50th anniversary of the 2002 model.
Ready to drive and enjoy.
